Materialise is pleased to announce the availability of Mimics Innovation Suite 21.0 of software and services, including MEDICAL 21 and RESEARCH 21. In this release faster and easy-to-use tools to make the world a healthier place.

This release features three highlights:

- The user interface of Mimics Research was updated for better usability.

- The Analysis, Simulation and Design modules have been extended, making Mimics Research a better toolbox for planning and virtual surgery.

- Mimics Research now supports importing and working with multiple image series, such as 4D CT scans, in a single project.

About Materialise Mimics Inovation Suite 21.0 Medical/Research.

Mimics is software specially developed by Materialise for medical image processing. Use Mimics for the segmentation of 3D medical images (coming from CT, MRI, microCT, CBCT, Ultrasound, Confocal Microscopy) and the result will be highly accurate 3D models of your patient’s anatomy. You can then use these patient-specific models for a variety of engineering applications directly in Mimics or 3-matic, or export the 3D models and anatomical landmark points to 3rd party software, like statistical, CAD, or FEA packages.

The Research edition of the Mimics Innovation Suite version 21.0 currently consists of the following software components: Mimics Research version 21.0 and 3-matic Research version 13.0 (released in 2018).

Mimics Research is intended only for research purposes. It is intended as a software interface and image segmentation system for the transfer of imaging information from a variety of imaging sources to an output file. It is also used as software for simulating, measuring and modeling in the field of biomedical research. Mimics Research must not be used, and is not intended to be used, for any medical purpose whatsoever. Usage of the software signifies your acceptance of the above.

3-matic Research is intended for use as a software for computer assisted design and engineering in the field of biomedical research.
